Job summary

RK&K is hiring a Site Development Engineer for our Baltimore, MD office. You will collaborate with project managers and team members to execute site development projects, providing planning, design, and construction support.

The role emphasizes design calculations, technical writing, and clear communication across disciplines. It offers opportunities to grow in project management and field support within a respected engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of professional experience in planning, design, and construction administration.
• Self-starter with interest in diverse projects for Site Development Group.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in organizing and presenting documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Project, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design.
• Assist with preparation and review of memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Assist with project management activities for select tasks and develop PM skills.
• Support field testing and investigations when required.
• Support construction projects with office engineering services (submittal review, contract document interpretation, RFIs, change orders) when required.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines.
