Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Site / Civil Engineer to join our Site/Civil Department in the Charlotte, NC office to work on a variety of private and public municipal projects. This is a great opportunity for a motivated new graduate to contribute to site development and capital improvement programs.

You will be part of design teams performing grading, roadway, stormwater and erosion control, with opportunities to learn AutoCAD, WaterCAD, and StormCAD while developing professional skills

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• Previous internship experience is desired.
• EIT is strongly preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required.
• Experience with WaterCAD and StormCAD is a plus.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Site/civil development including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
• Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
• May also conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain permitting.
