Chenega Security SBU in Springfield, VA is seeking an Electronic Technician I to assist with the installation, setup, and basic maintenance of electronic security systems and related equipment. Working under the guidance of senior technicians, you will contribute to the successful deployment of low-voltage, surveillance, access control, and security technologies across customer sites.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; active clearance preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in preparations for cable pulling.
• Assist in cable pulling (18-2, RG 6, Cat5e, Fiber Optics).
• Assist in cable terminations (butt splices, insulated connectors, terminal strips/blocks, BNC).
• Assist in cable testing (VOM, Continuity tester, TDR, OTDR).
• Assist in mounting devices (Readers, Door Contacts, REXs, Cameras).
• Locate TSS field devices on a blueprint (readers, door contacts, REXs, cameras).
• Interpret elevation and mounting details on blueprints to install devices.
• Identify codes and standards differences to complete tasks.
• Identify cable types and usages.
• Identify connector types and usages.
• Assist in installing raceways and pathways.
• Assist in simple conduit bends.
• Assist in terminating devices.
• Repair and maintain electronic security system equipment.
