Job summary

Goldbelt is seeking a Security Guard I to support basic security operations at assigned Alaska sites, protecting personnel, assets, and property. The role involves monitoring, access control, and visitor screening under supervision to maintain a safe environment for employees and guests.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, 21+ age, 6 months of customer service experience, Alaska guard license eligibility, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen; CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least 6 months of experience in customer service or public interaction.
• Eligible for State of Alaska Security Guard license.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean record.
• Obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and controls access to assigned areas; checks identification and visitor credentials.
• Completes visitor and contractor check-ins for transport to designated sites.
• Conducts visual inspections of bags, totes, and personal belongings for prohibited items.
• Observes and reports suspicious behavior, safety issues, or policy violations.
• Assists in maintaining order during incidents or emergencies under direction from supervisors.
• Provides directions and general assistance to visitors and staff.
• Completes basic logs and incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Performs foot patrols as assigned to monitor and secure facilities.
• Supports other security personnel as directed.
• May be required to work on-call or call-back hours.
