Job summary

Pace seeks a Scientist in the Volatiles department to perform hands-on analysis in our environmental testing laboratory, using GC-MS and GC-FID/PID to analyze samples. You will maintain instruments, document procedures, and contribute to high-quality data that informs environmental decisions.

A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry and related lab experience are required; Pace provides training to support your growth in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or STEM field, plus related lab experience.
• Must have chemistry credit hours with labs from a college or university.
• Preferred knowledge of GC-MS and/or GC-FID/PID instrumentation.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment with PPE and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform, support, and oversee the analysis of environmental samples using GC-MS and GC-FID/PID.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality records.
