Job summary

Proper Beverage Company is seeking a Sanitation Technician I for its Hudsonville, MI facility. This entry-level, full-time role operates on the 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, supporting cleanliness across production areas.

Responsibilities include basic cleaning, equipment disassembly for cleaning, proper chemical handling, and adherence to sanitation protocols. Training will be provided, with a focus on safety and compliance in a beverage production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing is required; food & beverage experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleanliness and safety standards in manufacturing.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and efficiency.
• Physically able to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable in wet or humid environments with cleaning chemicals.
• Commitment to learning and sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic cleaning tasks on production equipment, floors, walls, and general facility areas under supervision.
• Follow sanitation procedures and safety protocols as directed.
• Assist with disassembling simple equipment components for cleaning.
• Handle, clean, and store sanitation tools and supplies.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and wear appropriate PPE.
• Complete cleaning checklists and report task completion to shift lead.
• Communicate equipment or sanitation issues to experienced technicians.
• Participate in initial training and shadowing to learn best practices.
• Support cleanliness and organization of sanitation supply areas.
