Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Akron is seeking an entry-level Sales Associate / Cashier to be the face of the organization, delivering warm customer service while processing purchases and donations. You will help guests, price donated items, and keep the sales floor neat and welcoming, supporting our community mission.

You will greet every customer, operate the register and POS systems, and assist with reports and deposits.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a cash register including basic math, computer, and typing skills.
• Ability to operate a cash register and count back change.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the register and process purchases accurately.
• Prepare and review reports such as donation counts and daily statements.
• Balance cash drawers and deposits; ensure accuracy on POS and reports.
• Greet customers warmly and promote Goodwill Club membership and the Elizabeth Clark Fund.
• Select and price donated goods and textiles while maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
