Job summary

Anchor Fabrication Fort Worth is seeking a Production Welding Technician to join a heavy manufacturing environment. You will learn and follow all safety rules, operate robotic welding cells under supervision, load/position parts, and monitor weld cycles while responding to alarms.

You will perform basic prep, measure and verify fit-up, maintain clean work areas, and assist with troubleshooting and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Basic reading of work instructions and routing information; weld symbol knowledge preferred but not required.
• Willingness to complete company-provided training for robotic welding equipment, safety procedures, quality standards, and production processes.
• Basic math skills including reading tape measures and understanding fractions/decimals in fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow all safety rules, robotic cell safety practices, lockout/tagout and machine guarding requirements.
• Load, unload, position, and secure parts in welding fixtures according to work instructions and trainer direction.
• Operate robotic welding cells under supervision, monitor weld cycles, and respond to alarms or interruptions.
• Perform basic part preparation such as cleaning, grinding, deburring, and verifying fit-up.
• Observe weld quality and identify common weld concerns during production.
• Use basic measuring tools to support first-piece and in-process quality checks.
• Replace typical welding consumables as trained.
• Assist with troubleshooting robot faults, wire feed issues, torch problems, and fixture concerns.
