Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is hiring an entry-level Staff Engineer in Round Rock, TX. You’ll join a close-knit team on roadway projects and assist with design, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD).

You will gain hands-on experience across a range of transportation projects while enjoying onboarding, mentorship, and growth opportunities within the firm.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 0–4 years of relevant experience, such as internships, co-ops, academic projects, or entry-level engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and layout of roadway alignments, both horizontal and vertical, for real-world transportation projects.
• Involve geometry, drainage, signage, pavement markings, and maintenance of traffic.
• Develop construction plan sets for bidding and construction.
• Perform quantity calculations to support bid plan development and construction cost estimates.
• Explore pavement analysis, design, and utility coordination for a well-rounded experience.
• Take on project support tasks from concept to construction; other duties as assigned.
