Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across services, products and customer service. You will engage in cart retrieval, lot cleaning, trash collection, snow removal where needed, returns and basic cleaning.

You’ll work with service desks and multiple departments to support store operations. We welcome highly organized individuals with strong listening and communication skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move product and operate equipment.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
