Qualifications

• Completion of a CoARC approved respiratory care program.
• 1 year of experience as an RCP in an acute care facility or LPCHS Respiratory Care Residency Program.
• BLS - Certified in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Administers aerosolized medication and respiratory therapies per physician orders.
• Performs routine trach care and changes, airway clearance therapies and ventilator support.
• Documents results in the electronic medical record and participates in rounds.
• Provides education to patients and families and responds to life-threatening situations including CPR.
• Performs diagnostic cardiopulmonary procedures and transports patients as needed.
