Job summary

Charles River in Reno, NV is seeking a Research Analyst I for our Safety Assessment site. This role involves handling and processing samples and performing accurate data collection and reporting with minimal supervision in laboratory studies.

Responsibilities include data analysis for quality, interpreting study data, and writing final reports while ensuring compliance with GLP and SOPs. You may contribute to assay research or validation as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A. / A.S) or equivalent in biological science or related discipline required. Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) preferred.
• 6 Months minimum related experience in biology, chemistry/pharmacy, or similar lab environment GLP experience preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
• Proficient in basic technical skills and the operation of data collection equipment.
• Knowledge of GLPs and other federal regulations and guidelines.
• Basic understanding of study design and protocols; able to read basic study protocols and extract pertinent information.
• Must be able to perform effectively as a team member, accurately record data, follow verbal and written instructions, communicate effectively, and interact in a professional manner with management, coworkers, and sponsors.
• Able to quickly learn and utilize computer programs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process samples and perform data collection and reporting.
• Perform technical laboratory activities in support of client studies or procedures.
• Review and interpret study data, communicate results to clients and write final reports.
• Ensure compliance with protocols and all applicable SOPs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assay or technical issues in the laboratory when scientific expertise is needed.
• Contribute to dataset interpretation and assist with study conduct as needed.
