This position is full time(40 hours/week) Monday – Friday.Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hoursof 8:00am – 5:00pm MST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be during normal business hours.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer calls from medical providers, regarding patient claim inquires, prior authorization, member eligibility, portal support and explanation of benefits.
  • Focus on resolving issues on the first call. Deliver information and answer questions in a positive manner to facilitate strong relationships with providers and their staff.
  • Complete the system documentation necessary to track provider issues and facilitate reporting.
  • Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
  • Maintain all Compliance and HIPAA regulations at all times.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of call center experience
  • Knowledge and experience working in Microsoft applications (MicrosoftWord,MicrosoftExcel andMicrosoftOutlook)
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday, 08:00AM – 05:00PM MST

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Teams
  • Healthcare customer service experience

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
