Job summary

George’s is seeking a Refrigeration Helper to support the Refrigeration Operator in preventative and predictive maintenance of refrigeration and boiler/steam systems. You will document readings, assist with maintenance, and help maintain processing records in a safety-conscious, team-driven environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, relevant maintenance experience, and certifications such as CARO and a state boiler license. Strong English skills and hands-on tool use are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in refrigeration, maintenance, or similar.
• RETA CARO certification or ability to obtain it.
• Pass and maintain state High Pressure Steam Boiler License.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• English reading, writing & speaking.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools.
• Preferred: High Pressure Steam Boiler operation.
• Preferred: HAZWOPER certification.
• Preferred: Ammonia Refrigeration (2 stage system).
• Preferred: Process Safety Management understanding.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining equipment and processing service records.
• Document services, temperature readings and other information pertinent to the ongoing support of the refrigeration systems and Boiler and steam systems.
• Assist operator with preventative and predictive maintenance on all refrigeration systems and equipment, including Boiler and steam systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
