Job summary

George's Inc. is seeking a Refrigeration Operator to apply hands-on knowledge of ammonia refrigeration to maintain the refrigeration department of the facility. This role includes assisting with boiler and steam system maintenance and ensuring safety policies are followed.

The candidate should have 5+ years in refrigeration or a related field, RETA CIRO certification or the ability to obtain, and a valid driver's license with a clean record. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent AND 5+ years of experience in Refrigeration, Maintenance, or similar skill set.
• RETA membership w/Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) or ability to obtain.
• Ammonia Refrigeration (2 stage system)
• Able to pass and maintain state High Pressure Steam Boiler License
• Process Safety Management (PSM) understanding
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Speak, read & write fluently in English

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration equipment, such as compressors, ammonia pumps condensing towers, etc.
• Full understanding of the refrigeration cycle
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and assigned work orders
• Perform troubleshooting activities, as necessary.
• Performs quality checks as required by position and/or product at assigned facility
• Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
