Job summary

The City of Wichita is seeking a Recreation Leader to create engaging, inclusive programs across sports leagues, events, and educational activities at recreation centers and fields. This entry-level, limited part-time role offers flexible hours and hands-on experience in a vibrant community setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, setting up facilities, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring safety and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Six months of customer service experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating recreation programs including adult and youth sports, special events, and other activities.
• Prepare, set up and clean up of fields and facilities for activities.
• Assist with general administrative duties such as answering phones, assisting customers, collecting fees, and maintaining attendance records.
• Promote safety of all program participants.
• Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for events and activities.
• Assist with maintaining the operation of community centers, fields, and gymnasiums.
