SMS Mill Services, LLC in Mingo Junction, OH seeks a motivated Rail Supervisor to join our steel mill scrap operations. This entry-level leadership role works closely with operations crews to develop skills in supervision, production coordination, and safety leadership.

You'll support daily tasks, coordinate workflow, and step into supervisory roles during absences, while learning to lead teams, reinforce safety policies, and drive continuous improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Leadership potential with desire to grow into supervisory role.
• Strong work ethic and hands-on in operations.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support scrap handling, material movement, and production activities.
• Coordinate daily tasks and maintain workflow.
• Serve as go-to resource for shift employees.
• Support housekeeping, yard efficiency, and safety.
• Assist with training and cross-training of staff.
• Step into supervisory role during vacations or peak times.
• Direct crews, assign work, ensure safety standards.
