Job summary

Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital is seeking a Radiology Support professional to greet patients, screen for MRI safety, prepare patients for MRI and general radiology exams, and assist under licensed supervision. You will help with positioning, patient transport, and maintaining a clean, safe radiology suite in a pediatric setting.

Qualifications

High School/GED required.
Certified and maintains BLS.
New graduate or 1 year radiology experience; pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and escort patients to radiology suites and explain procedures to alleviate concerns and ensure comfort.
Screen patients for MRI safety and review medical history for contraindications.
Prepare patients for MRI and general radiology exams, assisting with gowns and securing belongings.
Demonstrate judgment to provide care under supervision of licensed personnel.
Maintain family-centered care and communicate with patients and families throughout procedures.
Assist in positioning patients on MRI tables and ensure safety equipment is used.
Transport patients to radiology as needed and maintain a safe environment.
