Job summary

Crane ChemPharma & Energy is seeking an entry-level Quality Control Tech I in California. The role emphasizes training and supervision, with progression toward Level 2 NDE certifications in VT, RT, and PT.

You will inspect welded products, report defects, and learn to sign off on fabrication travelers while gaining blueprint reading experience. The ideal candidate has high school education, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent; some college preferred.
• Current NDE certifications VT, PT or RT or willingness to pursue Level 2.
• Weld inspection experience and knowledge of GTAW/GMAW processes.
• Able to read drawings and interpret inspection requirements.
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welded products for compliance with specifications and standards.
• Perform inspection functions to ensure fabrication adheres to design specifications.
• Review and process quality signoffs of fabrication travelers.
• Measure dimensions using calipers or gauges and verify conformance.
• Read blueprints and determine inspection requirements.
• Write test or inspection reports and propose corrective actions.
