Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Manufacturing QA Technician I to support the plant in ensuring quality and safety requirements are met. This role will audit products, test materials, and participate in quality initiatives across shifts.

You will train production staff on quality practices, maintain 6S standards in the lab, and contribute to continuous improvement through root cause analysis and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience required.
• Experience or coursework in food science, quality management, or other sciences expected.
• Bi-lingual (English - Spanish) skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fosters a positive working environment among diverse teams.
• Interacts with plant personnel to improve quality of products.
• Provides QA support for manufacturing initiatives.
• Trains production staff on safe, quality food manufacturing.
• Maintains laboratory per 6S standards.
• Participates in cross-functional teams to develop preventive and corrective actions.

• Performs root cause analyses and cost/variation reduction.
• Understands quality cost categories (prevention, appraisal, internal/external).
• Participates in FMEAs.
