Bowhead Marine Support Services seeks an entry level QMED/Wiper for shipboard positions at Tyndall Air Force Base, Tyndall, FL.

The QMED/Wiper is the engineering department utility man, performing cleaning, painting, oiling and greasing of machinery, and assisting in repairs. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a Merchant Mariners Document with the Ordinary Seaman/Wiper/Oiler rating, TWIC, and a valid U.S. passport. Target salary is $225.98/day commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Merchant Mariners Document with Ordinary Seaman/Wiper/Oiler rating and minimum 1 year experience.
• TWIC required.
• Valid/current U.S. Passport required.

Responsibilities

• Engine department maintenance: cleaning, painting, oiling, greasing, and assist in repairs.
• Oils/greases moving parts; may stand watches; assist in deck work and mooring operations.
• Assist in handling/deck gear, rigging, and operation of winches; stage and stow equipment.
• Assist Engineer: scale/buff/paint decks; splice wire/rope; secure cargo; launch/recover boats.
