Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking a Quality Control Chemist for a 12-month onsite assignment in High Point, NC. The role involves conducting chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical materials and maintaining strict documentation to ensure GMP/GLP compliance.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry/ Biology preferred), strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Day shift, onsite work, no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science; preferably Chemistry or Biology.
• No prior professional experience required.
• Familiarity with common office software.
• Familiarity with chromatographic data acquisition systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good autonomous problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately document laboratory testing and analytical results.
• Ability to follow established laboratory procedures and compliance requirements.
• Ability to recognize and report OOS, unexpected results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw material samples using internally developed and compendial test methods.
• Implement validated test methods for pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products.
• Perform testing for strength, impurities, and identity.
• Perform spectroscopy, quantitative analysis, wet chemistry, and chromatography.
• Recognize and report OOS or non-routine results and discuss with team.
• Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation as needed.
• Communicate testing results clearly and accurately.
• Record results in prescribed lab systems.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, GLP, and safety guidelines.
