Qualifications

• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks including Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit or Cucumber.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or JavaScript for test automation purposes.
• Exposure to database management systems such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle for data validation and analysis.
• Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN to manage code repositories effectively.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and debugging of issues.
• Excellent communication skills for documenting test cases, writing reports, and collaborating within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Execute manual and automated tests across various platforms including web, mobile (Android and iOS), and desktop applications.
• Use testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and HP ALM to perform functional, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools like Jira or TFS.
• Conduct API testing utilizing RESTful APIs with tools like Postman or SoapUI; analyze API responses for correctness and performance.
• Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab for automated testing workflows.
• Participate in Agile development cycles by attending sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure quality is integrated into every phase of development.
