Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking an entry-level Propulsion Test Engineer for our Stennis, Mississippi site. You will work on test stands and articles for Terran R, under experienced engineers, technicians, and welders.

The role offers hands-on opportunities to design, build, and test high‑energy components while advancing rocket readiness. Expect collaboration across Design & Build, Operations and Integration, with shifts and rigorous safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • No aerospace experience needed—we value unique backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate common power tools.
  • Ability to deliver on tight schedules, especially when unconventional solutions are necessary.
  • This role may require travel to production and launch locations, up to 10%.
  • Valid driver’s license to operate vehicles on the test site.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build fluid, structural, and test stand components.
  • Develop fabrication work instructions and source components.
  • Operate test stands and monitor telemetry.
  • Lead test campaigns and improve processes.
  • Create and maintain work instructions and standards across sites.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and welders to move projects forward.
