GARNEY is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join its project management team in Fredericksburg, VA. The role focuses on supporting project planning, coordination with owners and engineers, and ensuring the project stays on track with precise documentation and planning.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in civil engineering or construction management and is willing to travel and work the hours required to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist project management with tasks such as negotiating and purchasing materials, maintaining documents, and acting as a point of contact with owners, architects, and engineers.
• Create submittals and RFIs.
• Coordinate projects from start to finish, assist with estimating, project setup and closeout, support field operations, and maintain detailed job costs.
• Work professionally with owners and engineers.
• Assist in scheduling projects and crews.

Education

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
