Job summary

Formative 3D in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Junior Production Technician to support our new production facility. You’ll help keep a clean, safe, and organized workspace while assisting experienced technicians with material handling, printer support, and basic post-processing tasks.

This entry-level role is perfect for dependable learners eager to gain hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing and additive technologies.

Qualifications

No prior manufacturing experience required.
Previous warehouse, shop, production, or general labor experience is a plus.
Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and adhere to standard operating procedures.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
Interest in manufacturing, 3D printing, or advanced production technologies is a plus.
Willingness to work weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
Assist Advanced Manufacturing Technicians with printer material changes.
Move, stage, and organize raw materials and finished products.
Perform basic post-processing such as drilling, deburring, and cleaning printed parts.
Manage waste and recycling bins and housekeeping of common work areas.
Assist with material handling and general labor tasks as needed to support production goals.
Help restock consumables and organize tools, bins, and storage areas.
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Support team members wherever needed to help keep production running efficiently.
