Domtar’s Washington Court House facility in Ohio is seeking an Entry Level Production Technician to support paper production tasks, equipment operation, and workspace upkeep on 12-hour rotating shifts. This is a full-time opportunity designed to build skills and advance along a manufacturing career path.

Starting pay is $24.76/hour plus a $1.50/hour shift premium. The role offers a team-based environment, safety-focused culture, and opportunities to grow within Domtar as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude or previous industrial experience preferred.
• Able to perform physical tasks and work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Basic skills in math, reading, writing, and computer use.
• Team orientated with a strong commitment to Safety & Quality.

Responsibilities

• Roll stripping, prepping, and loading.
• Operate cutting and other hand tools and perform physical lifting safely.
• Follow written or electronic operating procedures.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards and perform basic maintenance duties.
• Work safely and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow material transporting & stacking guidelines.
• Support Shipping & Receiving operations, including railcars & trailers.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks, including Fork Truck, Clamp Truck, Dual Fork Truck, Aerial Work Platform.
• Properly use hoists and dollies.
• Load and unload trucks, lay rolls, move pallets and other heavy materials.
• Complete daily safety inspections and maintain work areas.
• Uphold standards in safety, quality, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping.

Entry-Level Laborer (Backstand Technician)

Starting Pay: $24.76/hour + $1.50/hour Shift Premium

Full-Time

Shifts:

7:00 AM – 7:00 PMAND7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

12-hour rotating shifts | 24/5 operation, Monday – Friday.

Material Handler

• $25.90/hour + $1.50/hour Shift Premium
• Successful progression to the Material Handler position is required no sooner than 3 months and no later than 9 months from the hire date.

• $28.54/hour + $1.50/hour Shift Premium

Operator

• $30.91/hour + $1.50/hour Shift Premium
• $34.48/hour + $1.50/hour Shift Premium

Entry-Level Laborer (Backstand Technician) Key Responsibilities
