Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) in Austin, TX is seeking a Production Team Lead to drive manufacturing excellence onsite. You will manage schedules, lead and develop staff, and own Tier 2 production boards to support strategic decisions.

You will ensure safe, efficient operations, partner with maintenance to keep equipment running, and resolve quality issues with continuous improvement in mind. This role offers growth within a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment that empowers and holds employees accountable for maintaining a safe work environment; monitor and enforce all safety procedures, PPE, FS and continuous improvement tools.
• Develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Own the Tier 2 boards, keeping them updated to support management for strategic decisions.
• Adapt and react quickly to changes based on customer delivery requirements.
• Analyze and resolve work problems by assisting operators for continuous improvement.
• Support managers with employee performance reviews and GPD conversations.
• Own employees’ timecards and time‑off requests.
• Recommend training and development for existing personnel skills.
• Work with maintenance to ensure all production machines are repaired and running properly.
• Take the lead in resolving quality issues and problems.
• Own the 5S program (organization of tolling, work stations) in the assigned area.
• Champion the company’s Vision, Mission, and Culture Characteristics in every action and decision.
• Be fully engaged and help others in the Employee Suggestions Program.
• Perform any other job duties required.

• Identify, register, and inform the immediate leader of any quality/non‑conformity in assembled product.
• Reduce customer disruptions, MRBs, and losses.
• Engage in Zone Metrics indicators to drive continuous improvement/problem solving in the zone; actively identify detractors and record them on Tier Production Boards.
• Participate in problem‑solving activities and execute solutions.
• Apply the right quality tools in real time.
