Job summary

NR Consulting is seeking an energetic and hands-on Scheduler to support material movement and production activities on the manufacturing floor. This entry-level/lower-level scheduling role focuses on coordinating materials and updating production systems—not a planner, buyer, or management position.

Responsibilities include tracking material flow, updating systems, coordinating with production and planning teams, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring safe handling of materials on the floor.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in dispatching, shop scheduling, production planning, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience working with computerized manufacturing/production systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, work orders, routings, travelers, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track the movement of materials and parts on the manufacturing floor.
• Update production and inventory systems accurately and on time.
• Stage materials and coordinate work to meet production schedules.
• Monitor work orders, shortages, and material status.
• Coordinate with production, inspection, planning, and other support teams.
• Help resolve scheduling, paperwork, and system discrepancies.
• Track materials through different manufacturing areas and report issues.
• Support expedited/A.O.G. jobs and customer delivery requirements.
• Move materials using forklifts, dollies, hand trucks, and carts.
• Support packaging and ensure materials are handled safely.
• Follow all company safety procedures and assist team members as needed.
