The Shade Store is seeking a Production Associate I in Pompano Beach, FL. This entry-level role focuses on assembling components, running equipment, and following written instructions under supervision.

You will use hand and power tools to assemble units according to specs, while maintaining quality standards. A High School diploma is preferred, with 1–3 years in production; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods is required.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Able to stand 8 hours a day and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow written instructions and orders.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train on different tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic production and assembly tasks following work instructions.
• Operates production machines and uses hand tools to assemble products.
• Receives training from supervisors and technicians as needed.
• Follows procedures, methods and sequences for daily tasks.
• Ensures product quality meets specifications and documentation standards.
• Contributes to continuous improvement projects and team goals.
• Works under supervision on routine tasks and duties.
• Communicates issues to supervisor/lead on the production line.
• Visually inspects parts for quality per the quality system.
• Packs finished product per work instructions and accompanying sheets.
• Cross-trains and rotates to different tasks regularly.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and follows safety rules.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
