Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries, a fourth-generation family-owned lumber and millwork company, offers multiple entry-level production openings at our Chinese Camp sawmill in California. This role provides strong opportunities for advancement, with on-site training and a path to learn across production, maintenance, and supervision.

Teammates will shovel, rake, and sweep wood byproducts, stack lumber, and learn to operate various machines in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Recent related work history and verifiable references preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

About The Position

• Find yourself on a new career path in an entry-level production position with opportunity to learn and explore many jobs within the plant site including production, equipment maintenance, and supervision
• Learn to fill in on various machine stations within our innovative sawmill
• Shovel, rake, and sweep wood byproducts
• Stack and pile lumber
• The work is fast paced and can, at times, be demanding
• Repetitive lifting and working in both hot and cold work environments
• Work may consist of various shifts, with some overtime and weekend work during busy production times
