Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Product Repair/Modification Technician to join our dynamic team in Heath, OH. This role supports disassembly, troubleshooting, testing and fabrication under supervision.

You will work 1st-3rd shift onsite, follow instructions, and gain hands-on aerospace experience. The position requires safety awareness, ability to read simple drawings, and willingness to work with hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Experience using tools and following work instructions.
• Willingness to handle beryllium or similar elements.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Shift flexibility to cover 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Preferred: experience inspecting parts and reading drawings.

Responsibilities

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Product Repair/Modification Technician to join our dynamic team in Heath, OH.

Position Responsibilities

• Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes
• Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
• Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components
• Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications
• Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations)
• Works under supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Experience working with tools and following work instructions
• Willingness to work with beryllium and/or other chemical elements
• Basic computer experience and competency
• Able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience in the inspection of parts, components, assemblies or units
• 1+ years’ experience soldering experience and assembly of equipment
• 1+ years’ experience using handheld tools and/or hand-held power tools
• Experience reading and understanding basic engineering drawings and specifications
• 1+ years’ experience working under a microscope

Summary pay range: USD $48,450 - $65,550
