Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Akron in Ohio is hiring an entry-level Processor / Retail Stock Associate to sort donated goods and ensure quality standards for resale. You will inspect textiles, furniture, appliances, small wares, and books, tagging and pricing items for display on the floor.

You will also help promote the development of service participants, maintain safety, and operate tasks with attention to safe procedures while supporting the community mission.

Qualifications

• Lifting up to 30 lbs required.
• Basic mathematical skills needed.
• Customer service experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated goods and textiles to meet quality standards.
• Inspect items such as textiles, furniture, appliances, and toys for salability.
• Sort, hang, tag, price, and prep goods for resale; prepare reports as needed.
• Promote service participants and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
