Job summary

Domtar is seeking an entry-level Process Engineer with a Quality Focus in Rothschild, WI. This full-time role offers exposure to mill operations, Lean Six Sigma practices, and opportunities for growth in process optimization and product development.

You will support safety initiatives, drive product quality improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and equipment reliability projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Oral and written communication skills to convey technical material.
• Willing and able to meet demands of a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Support quality objectives by maintaining product quality and reducing variability.
• Assist with new product development activities and product trials.
• Provide technical leadership to production areas and troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor process control systems to optimize performance and stability.
• Collaborate with external resources to identify cost reductions and quality enhancements.
• Develop relationships with hourly employees and provide training on process improvements.
