Job summary

Symbiotic Services is seeking a Powder Coater I in Denton, TX to apply powder coatings to metal components using automated and manual equipment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to procedures to maintain product quality.

The successful candidate will follow coating specifications, complete inspections, and maintain accurate records while supporting a collaborative production team in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial finishing preferred.
• Powder coating experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and visual work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to safely operate equipment after training.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, coatings specs, SDS, and TDS.
• Verify part identification, color codes, material lots, masking, cleanliness, and quality specs.
• Perform equipment startup inspections (guards, E-stops, ventilation, grounding).
• Coordinate material flow and production activities.
• Operate powder coating systems and spray guns per procedures.
• Ensure proper coating coverage and grounding.
• Inspect coating quality (film thickness, adhesion).
• Maintain records of readings, lots, and downtime.
