Job summary

Smurfit Westrock seeks an entry-level Associate Designer to support the design team in creating POP displays and packaging concepts. You’ll assist in developing assembly instructions, producing white samples, and organizing project materials while gaining exposure to the full design-to-manufacturing process.

The role emphasizes 3D thinking, proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop, and willingness to learn new tools in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Illustrator; familiarity with InDesign & Photoshop.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Eagerness to learn new design software and industry equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural spec packages for POP displays and packaging.
• Create clear pack-out and assembly instructions using Illustrator and ArtiosCAD.
• Cut and assemble white samples using Kongsberg cutting tables.
• Construct presentation-quality mockups with wide-format printers and prototyping tools.
• Prepare, pack, and ship samples and materials; maintain organized project records.
• Collaborate with designers to meet timelines and deliverables.
