Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. in Overland Park, KS seeks an Engineer I for Pipeline Systems and Engineering Services. You will coordinate and perform basic engineering tasks related to design, operation, and maintenance of pipeline systems and storage facilities.

Responsibilities include supporting project coordination across regions and departments, assisting with proposals and contracts, and providing technical assistance on meter/regulator settings, pipeline modeling, and analyses. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Up to two years of relevant professional experience.
• Working knowledge of piping plan standards and related governmental regulations.
• Demonstrated ability with math, algebra, calculus, and statistics.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Stoner, Excel, Access or similar software.
• Ability to read and interpret regulations, blueprints, contracts, and reports.
• Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, assist, and/or perform engineering activities related to design, operation, and maintenance of pipeline and storage systems.
• Assist with project coordination among regions and departments, including bid proposals, contracts, line extensions, and relocation projects.
• Provide technical and engineering assistance on meter/regulator settings, pipeline modeling, and related analyses.
• Review, summarize, and assist in preparing engineering studies, bid proposals, contracts, status reports, and job orders.
• Attend and contribute to meetings; travel as needed for field and office work.
