Job summary

HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding in Mississippi seeks an experienced Pipe Welder to join its 21 Pipe team. You will perform GTAW/TIG welding on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel piping in a dynamic shipyard environment with multiple shifts.

Must have graduated from a pipe welder program and training in TIG root and stick fill and cap on 6GR piping; Mississippi Tech Master Certification is a nice-to-have.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from a pipe welder program at a vo-tech school or other training school.
• Training in TIG root and stick fill and cap on steel piping in the 6GR position.

Responsibilities

• Perform GTAW/TIG welding on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel piping in shipyard environments.
• Work in a shipyard with various shifts and safety procedures meeting industry standards.
