Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Fabrication Associate - Entry Level to join our team in Salt Lake City. Schedule: M-F, 8-hour shifts between 5am and 4pm with overtime possible.

You will set up machines for pipe fabrication, measure lengths, cut with band saw or torch, and assemble orders while maintaining a clean, safe work area. Prior fabrication experience is not required, but math skills and the ability to work efficiently are important.

Qualifications

• Prior fabrication experience preferred but not required.
• Strong math skills and the ability to calculate quantities on hand.
• Experience operating pipe cutting and threading machinery per OSHA regulations.
• Ability to remain results-focused in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Ability to thrive in an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain machines in the shop for pipe fabrication.
• Accurately measure, record, and add random pipe lengths.
• Measure and cut pipe with band saw/torch; roll and groove lengths; thread and bevel using Landis machines.
• Move loose or bundled pipe within the pipe yard.
• Assemble pipe orders in singles or bundles; maintain organized supplies.
• Observe safety precautions for fabrication, cutting, assembly, stacking and shipping.
• Operate powered equipment per OSHA guidelines and Ferguson procedures.
