Job summary

Baptist is seeking an entry-level Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver therapeutic physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed therapist in Tennessee.

You will work under a written plan of care to meet goals, participate in discharge planning, and communicate progress in accordance with licensure and department policies. BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: PTA degree from an accredited program.
• Licensure: PTA license in TN or a compact license; BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Experience: Entry level.
• Skills: Computer literacy and basic skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides treatment under supervision of licensed physical therapist.
• Participates in discharge planning information, including patient/family education, follow-up, and referrals to community resources.
• Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
• Contributes to staff and student development, including daily workload assessment.
• Completes assigned goals.
