Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a phlebotomist to collect venous and capillary specimens in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will perform bedside testing, LIS functions, and provide instruction to students and staff under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager.

Responsibilities also include performing related laboratory duties and adhering to SOPs and aseptic techniques. A high school diploma or GED with phlebotomy experience is required, or enrollment in a CLS/MLT

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent(GED) and 6 months phlebotomy experience.
• Or enrollment in a Medical Lab Technician/Technologist program, Clinical Laboratory Science program, or certified Phlebotomy program and completed phlebotomy clinical rotation.

Responsabilités

• Collect venous and capillary specimens following SOP and aseptic technique in multiple inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform bedside testing.
• Perform Laboratory Information System (LIS) functions.
• Provide instruction to students/personnel.
• Performs laboratory related duties as requested by the Manager.
