Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is offering an entry-level Pharmacy Technician Trainee position at the Southlake Campus. This 16-week paid program develops a foundational pharmacy technician knowledge base while performing duties under the supervision of a clinical pharmacist.

Trainees will gain experience with medication order filling, compounding, inventory, and patient care tasks. Successful completion leads to eligibility for Kansas Board of Pharmacy registration and a full technician

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician Registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Eligible for Kansas Board of Pharmacy Registration on start date or immediately after.

Responsibilities

• Input medication orders and obtain patient information under supervision.
• Assist in maintaining pharmacy inventory and records in compliance with state/federal law.
• Ensure timely distribution of prescribed medications and stock items.
• Support traineeship program efforts and participate in competency evaluations.
