The East Haven Police Department is seeking qualified entry level and certified police applicants to fill full time patrol officer vacancies.

Candidates must pass a written examination, oral interview, the current POST physical assessment and a Chief's interview, along with background checks, polygraph, psychological and medical examinations including drug screening. A competitive benefits package including a pension plan is offered.

Qualifications

• Written examination, oral interview, POST physical assessment, and Chief's interview.
• Background investigation, polygraph, psychological and medical examination including drug screening.
• Certified officers with minimum two years of certification – Grade A – $91,831 per year and one week of vacation upon successful completion of field training.
• Entry level hires start at Grade C – $73,024 per year.
