Job summary

City of Monroe is hiring an Entry Level Patrol Officer in Ohio. The position offers a 4 on 2 off schedule with 8.5 hour shifts and a path to certification through the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.

Benefits include a comprehensive package with an HSA contribution of $1,800 or $3,600, vacation, sick, and comp time, a clothing allowance, tuition reimbursement, paid training opportunities and special assignments. Minimum qualifications: HS diploma or GED and valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy; if not certified, hired candidates will be sent to the academy and costs covered by the City.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Initial physical is required for admission into the academy.
