Job summary

Wild Bill's Tobacco in Troy, Michigan is seeking an entry-level paralegal to join our corporate legal team. You will support franchising, draft and submit regulatory filings with Michigan agencies, and communicate with state and municipal officials across tobacco, cannabis, hospitality, and real estate sectors.

Tobacco and cannabis regulatory experience is preferred but not required. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Onsite work and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, business administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys with franchising efforts, including preparing and administering deliverables to prospective franchisees.
• Draft and submit filings to Michigan's Cannabis Regulatory Agency, the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, and municipal governments.
• Research local ordinances to support our growth and acquisition strategy for tobacco and cannabis businesses.
• Research and draft written correspondence on zoning regulations to support our growth and acquisition strategy for tobacco retail locations.
• Track deadlines for license applications and ongoing license maintenance for our tobacco and cannabis businesses.
• Communicate with employees of the Cannabis Regulatory Agency and municipal governments regarding applications and license maintenance.
• Assist attorneys and other paralegals with drafting corporate governance documents and other legal deliverables as needed.
