Job summary

WestRock Company in Longview, WA seeks entry level Mill Operator to join Smurfit Westrock’s pulp and paper mill. You’ll train on the job and rotate through pulp, paper or logistics, with a 12-hour shift four days on and four days off.

Responsibilities include cleaning machines and work areas, operating powered industrial trucks, retrieving supplies, and maintaining safety standards. A high school diploma or GED and two years of full‑time work or post‑secondary education are required, along with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of continuous full-time work experience or post-secondary education preferred in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Availability to work rotating shifts including weekends and overtime.
• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand and/or walk for 12 hours.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Entry level position with training and advancement potential.
• Perform general clean-up of machines and work areas using broom, shovels, hoses, rakes and other equipment.
• Operate powered industrial trucks and other heavy equipment.
• Retrieve supplies from various locations and suppliers.
• Maintain all required safety standards.
