Job summary

CannAscend Ohio Processing, LLC is seeking an Entry Level Packaging Technician to assist in all areas of packaging, labeling, and delivery of cannabis products. The role requires local travel across Ohio using a company-provided delivery truck and operates on the 2nd shift (4:00 PM–9:00 PM).

Applicants should be 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent, pass state FBI/BCI background checks, and have reliable transportation.

• Cross train and provide coverage in the processing departments as business needs require
• Local travel within the State using a company-provided delivery truck
• Safely, securely, and lawfully producing and transporting cannabis products to dispensaries
• Work alongside an assistant to provide security for the staff and product from the processing facility to off-site locations
• May provide back-up for other departments
• Follow detailed instructions and procedures
• Maintain product tracking, security, and delivery records

Overview

OBS, LLC provides for the staffing needs of CannAscend Ohio Processing, LLC, an Ohio, family-owned, small business with a medical cannabis processing facility located in Wilmington, Ohio. The Company extracts the medicinal properties of the plant and produces manufactured products that are a tremendous benefit to people’s lives. The Company is currently seeking an Entry Level Packaging Technician to assist in all areas of packaging, labeling, and delivery of cannabis products, and assist with any local facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all areas of packaging, labeling, and delivering cannabis products
• Cross train and provide coverage in the processing departments as business needs require
• This position will require local travel within the State using a company-provided delivery truck
• Responsible for safely, securely, and lawfully producing and transporting cannabis products to dispensaries, while ensuring strict adherence to state law and all protocols and controls
• Work alongside an assistant to provide security for the staff and product from the processing facility to off-site locations
• May provide back-up for other departments
• Must be able to work alongside other teammates, in a cooperative and professional team environment, to provide secure product delivery from a processing facility to off-site locations
• Assist with packaging deliveries and checking against the order form
• Ensure compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product delivery
• Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community
• Embody the culture, values, and tenets of the Company and full support of our purpose, goal, and key objectives

Qualifications

• Perform duties in a safe manner and environment while adhering to all governmental regulations for this industry
• Carry out all procedures in an efficient manner that also complies with OSHA regulations, Company SOPs, and all applicable procedures
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Communicate well, in a professional manner, with employees and customers
• May require weekend work on rare occasion

• The work requires the physical and mental capacity to contribute daily to an often rigorous, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding cannabis processing facility
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work productively within a group environment
• Ability to focus, stay on task, and continuously demonstrate attention to detail
• Must be able to follow detailed instructions
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• The candidate must pass the state required background check through the FBI and the BCI
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Reliable transportation is a must
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods on a concrete floor
• A willingness to follow specific rules and procedures without deviation
• Valid driver's license and ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check
• Pass a comprehensive background check that includes a criminal history
• Maintain a current driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to sit for long periods of time and get in and out of an automobile several times a day
• Proficient in basic computer skillsSteady employment history
• Confident navigating by using maps and GPS
