Job summary

PIKE is seeking an entry-level Class C Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. The role involves working on energized and de-energized powerlines and may require travel to out-of-state locations as needed.

You will report to the Foreman and participate in live-line work, safety protocols, and job site operations across various weather conditions. This position requires readiness to work overtime and emergencies as part of the rotation.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of relevant field experience is preferred.
• Valid CDL required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces, near energized equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and during outages or emergencies.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use.
