The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Orthopedics has a full-time Clinic Athletic Trainer 1 position at the UHealth SoLe Mia Medical Center in Aventura, FL. The Clinic Athletic Trainer 1 (H) works as an athletic trainer in a physician practice and may be assigned to various locations to assist with patient care.

The incumbent provides direct patient contact under supervision to evaluate and treat medical and musculoskeletal pathology, applying clinical skills for patient-centered care.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment.
• Performs physical examinations including ROM, strength, neurovascular testing.
• Presents cases to attending physicians with imaging results when available.
• Transcribes and executes standing orders under physician direction.
• Provides patient education including rehabilitation exercises.
• Fits splints, braces, wraps, and orthopedic appliances; briefs bracing company for billing.
• Assists in wound care, gait training, and casting; post-operative care.
