Job summary

Austin Retina is seeking entry-level Ophthalmic Technicians for Round Rock and Georgetown locations. The role includes hands-on training, working closely with patients and physicians, and supporting the care team in exams and treatments.

You’ll gather patient histories, take diagnostic images, run vision tests, and assist with in-office procedures while traveling between clinics. No prior experience required, bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and professional with excellent communication skills.
• Quick learner who enjoys mastering new skills and medical technology.
• Responsible and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable using computers and learning medical data systems.
• Hold a valid Texas driver’s license with a clean 3-year record.
• Willing to travel to day clinics; travel time paid.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and input medical data.
• Take diagnostic images and prepare patients for exams.
• Perform vision tests and assist with in-office treatments.
• Travel to satellite clinics and be paid for travel time.
• Educate and comfort patients during visits.
